Internet Marketing / Social Networking Speaker
Ed has been an Internet marketing speaker since 1995. Focusing on in Internet marketing for small business Ed has been a frequent presenter at association meetings, industry and corporate conventions, franchisee and dealer meetings and meetings of CEO and entrepreneurial groups. In addition Ed has spoke for numerous not-for-profit groups and several colleges.
Audiences love Ed's down to earth style and non-technical language. Because Ed works with clients day-to-day, in the marketing trenches, he has stories and examples that are both captivating and inspiring.
While Ed does not claim to be a motivational or inspirational speaker his comment sheets are peppered with terms like, inspiring, encouraging, exciting, etc.
When people get it, when they really understand the "how to's" of Social Media marketing, or Search Engine Optimization, or Google Analytics or any of the other topics Ed covers in his presentations... it's an "ahaa moment", a light bulb goes off and everything changes. The fear, the lack of control, the hesitancy and reluctance all fall away and empowered Internet marketers emerge. It's amazing!
A Bit of Background...
In the late 1980's and early '90's Ed owned a seminar promotion company in San Diego. He had many high-profile professional speakers, authors and "niche experts" including:
Anthony Robbins, Brian Tracy, Jim Rohn, Og Mandino, Tom Hopkins, Deepak Chopra, Ken Blanchard, Ted Nicholas, Marshall Sylver, Dan Pena, Susan Powter, Jay Abraham, Nate Booth, Judge Ken Riely, Howard Shenson and many, many other outstanding speakers and trainers.
In addition to "super star" clients, Ed worked with niche experts who had achieved outstanding results or had great stories to tell. For example, Ed helped a top real estate agent "break into" the seminar business, same with a top mortgage originator.
In 1995, Ed anticipated that the Internet was going to be the next "hot seminar topic" so he went on a quest looking for a speaker to promote.
He interviewed hundreds of Internet marketing pioneers. (Unfortunately most of the people, who were having success online at that time, either had no interest in professional speaking or they just weren’t very good in front of an audience.)
As a small business owner Ed became intrigued by what he was hearing, and in mid ‘95,he started using Internet marketing strategies and tactics in his own business.
On October 17, 1996 Ed Taylor had his first $10,000 day from Internet marketing.
Before long Ed was being interviewed for newspaper and magazine articles, and he was being asked to appear on radio shows and speak at conventions.
Ed had become the Internet marketing expert he had been looking for!!!
In December of ‘96, Ed was invited by one of the world's top copywriters Ted Nicholas to contribute to his audio training program "Magic Words", which was published by Nightingale Conant. Within a few months Ed was being booked to make as many as 112 speaking presentations per year.
Ed's Internet marketing presentations, seminars and workshops have been sponsored by NetGuide magazine, Microsoft, Pacific Bell, San Diego Daily Transcript, The Executive Committee, Vistage, Street Smart Business School, the Learning Annex, Southern Oregon University, INC. Magazine, even the Department of Technology in Bremen, Germany and of course dozens and dozens more.
